Temple Square

Last Sunday we went up to Temple square for the First Presidency Christmas Devotional. We went with our dear friends Brad and Dani, which we unfortunately don't see as much as we would like to. And of course Tim, who took my good friend Aly. It was really special to be there, and i don't think we realize how lucky we really are to be able to go and listen to the prophets live. I feel like there are a million people around the world that would die to be able to do that. We are so blessed! Anyway, here are some fun pictures from our night!
I always love how beautiful the conference center is decorated at Christmas time!

And Brad says Merry Christmas and lots of love...

Santa!

Brad and I went to my work Christmas party at La Jolla, in the Riverwoods. It was a lot of fun to hang out with everyone again, like the good old times in Hawaii. After the party we walked around a little bit with Kenny and Andrea and found Santa! We were really excited. I decided it's officially Christmas, if Santa is out!

 We love Kenny and Andrea!

Happy Birthday Grandpa Curtis!

We celebrated Grandpa Curtis' 85th Birthday a couple of weeks ago! It was such a treat to have dinner and spend time with them. They came over to Marty and Keri's and we all had a great time with them. As we all sat down at the dinner table, Marty asked Grandpa what advice he had  for us for life, being that he has been alive for alot longer than us. Grandpa sweetly said that the only advice he has is to always remember to put your spouse first. He explained that when you always put your spouse first, you are both always happy. It was a really tender moment, and i will never forget that. He is the greatest example to Brad and I of always thinking of others and making everyone happy. My favorite thing about Grandpa is that he always has toys with him, and gives them to people he sees. Whether those people are in the family, or working in the movie theater, he'll give them to anyone. I have been reading Brad's family history on his Curtis side, and i loved reading Grandpa Curtis' history. His whole life is an example of selflessness. We love Grandpa!
After dinner that night, Grandpa and Grandma taught us one of their favorite card games, Pinochle. It took Brad and I a while to get the hang of it, but once we did, we loved it. Brad and and I are so blessed to have such a great, strong family!
Here is all of us getting ready to watch Grandpa blow out his candles!
