Our Day with Grandma & Grandpa Curtis

We had the privilege of going on a little date with Grandma and Grandpa Curtis a few weeks ago, and be part of their little tradition. Every couple of months Grandma and Grandpa, along with Aunt Betty, and Uncle Fred and Aunt Shirley go to the play at Hale Centre Theatre. They are definitely the life of the party at that place. Before the play, we met everyone at Southtowne Mall, and Grandma and Grandpa were so sweet to treat us to lunch. After we all ate together we went with all the ladies into Dillards, where they all go shopping. I can't tell you how fun  it is to be shopping with these 3 ladies in the petite section. I don't think i've ever stepped foot in the petite section in my life until then. :) Brad and I had some good laughs, and had fun watching them pick out their new clothes to buy. I really hope i'm just like them when i'm older. After the shopping excursion we headed over to the theatre, where we saw The Games Afoot. It was a mystery, and we loved it.

Here is a picture of all of us after the play. Grandma was so cute and wanted to stand on the stair so she could look taller. :) We love them, and are so grateful for them for letting us be part of their fun for the day!

Brian Reagan!

Best day ever!!! Thanks to Kenny and Heather...we were so lucky to be able to go see Brian Reagan at Abravanel Hall. Heather called Brad and Thursday night, and said that they just got 4 tickets and wanted us to go with them...and we were so excited! We had perfect seats, which made the whole thing perfect. Brian was hilarious, and had all new jokes. We love his clean, dorky humor...because it's so unlike most other comedians. He is just a goofy guy. Our favorite jokes were the microwave one...the dance floor....the hogle zoo, to just name a few. We really were laughing for an hour and a half strait, which caused our faces to hurt. We are so grateful for Kenny and Heather to letting us go with them! After the show, Heather made a yummy yummy dinner...and then we all went over to Marty and Keri's to watch the Jazz game and have dessert. Chris and Heather were there too which made it even more of a party. :) It was such a fun night for us, all credit going to Kenny and Heather!

Brad's 24th Birthday

Brad's birthday was on Martin Luther King Jr. Day, so we had a nice long weekend to celebrate him. He had school off that Monday, and i decided to take it off work so we could spend the whole day together. It was perfect.

We started partying on Saturday night. We went to Westminister's mens basketball game with Marty and Keri, and Tim. Our good friend Brad Brown plays on the team, so we mostly went to watch him. It was so fun being there, and visiting with Dani. We love them. Brad and Tim were a little crazy during the game, and making us all laugh. Good times.

Funny story: So we got to the game a little early, and the women's basketball game was still going. When we walked in, i saw someone with the gatorade and it made me really want one. I told Brad and Tim i wanted a gatorade, and Tim said he would buy me one under one condition. I had to go get all of the autographs of the girls on the girls basketball team when their game was over. I tried to make it so someone could come with me, so i didn't feel so dumb....but no, i had to go all by myself. I wasn't gonna do it, but then i sat there still thirsty for my gatorade. Finally, i just walked up and did it all by myself. I felt pretty close to a loser asking all of these GIRLS for  their autograph. So i did it, and gave it to Tim...and i got my yummy gatorade. Brad and Tim were laughing at me the whole time, but they were pretty proud that i actually did it. :)
After the game with Brad and Dani

Sunday we had a big family dinner at Marty and Keri's, with Grandma and Grandpa Curtis there too. It was so yummy! Later that night, Brad and Dani were so sweet to come back over and have cake and ice cream with us. We were spoiled to be able to hang out with them 2 nights in a row. :)
Blowing out his candles....

A little later that night Judd Tidwell, and his wife Alli came over too! We love and miss those two, so it was good to visit with them for a while.

I am a little upset about my pictures on Monday...his actual birthday. Some time ago, Brad was looking at them and deleted them all. So these last few of his fun day will have to do justice. After we ate dinner at Tucano's, we went to my parents and finished off his vanilla cake with them. We lit 24 candles on two slices of cake.

 'cheers' for another year.
I'm so glad we had a whole weekend to celebrate Bradley. He works so hard, and is so dedicated to everything he does. I couldn't love him anymore!

Baby Trayden

On a typical Tuesday night, Brad and I got the best phone call ever! I was at Relief Society activity, and Heather called to say the baby was coming! Since we only live about five minutes away from them, we headed right over to watch Korver and Pryson so they could head to the hospital. I was so excited to finally meet this little guy. We got there around 8:30, and Keri got there around 10:30 to stay with the boys all night. Trayden came around 12:30 that night. Heather is amazing, and had him natural. That Wednesday was a busy day for both Brad and I. I left work and picked him up from school, and we headed over to finally see him!

He is adorable. There is nothing like holding a little newborn in your arms. Brad loved holding him, and had like a five minute conversation with him telling him everything he needed to know about life. :) It was pretty funny. Brad says they have a special bond now, since they had that little chat.

Heather was amazing, and was up walking around when we were there. I need to be more like her when i grow up. :) We just couldn't get enough of Trayden.
Yay for another cute boy in the Curtis family! We love him!
